M/S KEPL was incorporated in 1996 and plant was operational from 1998. The plant is strategically located at MIDC Tarapur which is one of the most industrialized zones of the country, well connected by Rail /Road and Sea.

The plant started with production level of 200 / 250 MT per month and with passage of time, with mechanization and with addition of plant & machinery started producing 1500 MT per month of Transmission Line towers and Galvanizing of Cable Trays, Gratings, Guard rails, High masts octagonal poles & other sundry items.

This plant is approved by PGCIL for Lattice and Pipe type Sub-Station structure vide their Letter No.:C/QA&I / Sub-Str / 963 / Dtd: 21.10.2005. The plant is also approved by NPCIL for manufacturing of Transmission Line Towers for Reliance Energy Ltd.

For Galvanization of Cable Trays / Gratings & other sundry items, the plant is approved by NTPC, BARC, EIL, BHEL, L&T, & MAZAGAON DOCK LTD. The plant is implementing ISO 9001 Quality System and is also capable of meeting any special requirements of the customer.

With increase in demand of Transmission Line Towers globally the Company future set up a new unit of 2000 MT per month. Plant was commissioned in December 2005. The company this year has installed four additional CNC machines which have enhanced the fabrication capacity of the plant to 3000 MT per month.

The company also set up a Fasteners Plant to cater to the increasing needs of the market. The production capacity of this plant is 500 MT / month and this is being further enhanced to 750 MT per month with introduction of CNC machines. The plant has its own galvanizing facility for all fastener requirements.

As part of our expansion plan the company is setting up a Rolling Mill of 5000 Metric Ton per month capacity in Tarapur which will be fully operational in mid 2008. Also, we are expanding on our strength & setting up a galvanizing plant in Dubai which will be operational by mid 2008.

In July 2006, the company diversified into production of Tele towers. The company is already producing 1500 MT of Tele tower material per month and will be expanding to 2000 MT per month shortly. The Company is supplying towers to IDEA Cellular, Airtel, Tata, GTL, Xcel, Vodafone and BSNL. Alongside, we are taking Civil, erection BTS and Electrical works i.e. total solution providers. The Tele division already has offices in seven states to co-ordinate all activities and these are increasing as per the demands of business. The company has set up a Telecom shelter manufacturing unit in Noida to cater to the demands of our clients.
